Join us at the RAF Club for our annual New Year's 'Eve of the Eve' party.
We staged our first music hall show “Late Joys” in December 1937. Eighty years on, on December 30th, we are holding a celebratory ‘Eve of the Eve’ party in the Ballroom of the Royal Air Force club (128 Piccadilly, just up from the Hard Rock Café).
Guests arrive between 6.30 and 7.00 and in one of the club’s bars, they can buy something to drink immediately and/or during the show.
At 7.00 we move into the splendid Ballroom and sit at tables, for the first half of the show (guests are allocated to tables by number, but not by specific place):
We have the traditional gavel-wielding chairman, 4 singing artistes, a magician and a ukulele player whose repertoire includes a George Formby medley. We provide song-sheets for you to join in the choruses - accompanied by the Players' one-man orchestra.
At 8.00 we have supper: genuine Steak and Kidney pudding(served from pudding basins) and followed by Sherry Trifle, petits fours and coffee.
At 9.30 we resume the second half of the show, joining in 'Auld Lang Syne’ at 10.30.
Tickets:
Players' members - £65
Non-members - £70
